About the competition

With a view to popularise tantalizing Bangladeshi cuisines worldwide and to hunt culinary talents from all over the country, premier travel & tourism publication - The Bangladesh Monitor instituted the first ever cooking competition in the country titled as “Shera Rondhonshilpi Protijogita” in the year 2005. Since then, we organised the competition as a regular annual event, until the year 2013. From 2014, the competition is being organised as a reality show in the most popular TV Channel of the Country ATN Bangla in their super peak hours.

Following successful holding of the cooking show for last 15 years, we have observed with great satisfaction that culinary competitions, have become popular segments of entertainment programs in almost all TV channels. Viewership of these programs is increasing day by day. People of all ages including our children are taking keen interests in taking part in such competitions.

Cooking competition for the children is a very popular culinary event for the TV channels in others countries of the world. But unfortunately, until now there is no such competition for the children in our country, although there is a great demand from our younger generation.
